My sister's friend recommended this book and I was pleasantly surprised. Its light and easy reading yet filled with imagery that draws you right inside the story. Who is this Rocketman? A modern day superhero? An ordinary man? Only part one was available when I last searched - Rocketman's tale was just getting started! Looking forward to part two.
If you're looking to be entertained with a well written and compelling story, give this author a try! Looking forward to Part II as the character and plot develop.
George Crain has a singular voice. Rocketman Part I proves early on to be the beginning a quenching series centered around a beautiful concept of hope.
The visual quality of Rocketman is reminiscent of our great early 20th century authors and is even more so being serialized. I anxiously await the next episodes to learn the meaning of the comet and where the Rocketman’s journey will take him.
Rocketman has a very intriguing plot. I was very engaged through out the reading. Although I'm not a fluent/fast reader in English, the novel has a lot of visual elements that makes the story connect very effectively. The use of metaphor is very appealing. I can almost imagine an apocalyptic LA. I strongly recommend it! Looking forward for part II.
This is a page turner. It goes very fast and is very well written. This author knows how to write. It starts with a natural disaster and a is a very compelling story about a father's love for his son. It is a very good read, but would make a fantastic action movie that would interest young people as well as mature individuals. I look forward to the next adventure with great anticipation.
I really enjoyed reading this and can't wait to see what comes next. It's sort of sci-fi but it's more about the characters and the relationships that evolve through the story than it is about space travel or fancy gizmos. I'm also excited for what this means for the future of literature--the serialized novel is back! For less than the price of a New Yorker, I was able to check out a story by an exciting new author. Can't wait to see what comes next.
