Book Two is better than Book One. This Book is overly bogged down in administrative details of design and corporate structure formation of the new ship drive. I found myself skimming through much of it to find the real meat of the story-line. Hidden in there, the story is good and interesting. My initial opinion at the end was that I would not bother to follow this story any further. But I did. And Book Two surprised me as having more of a story and less technical background.Product details

I found this to be a good read. The story line was't complicated yet was interesting enough to hold my attention until the end. It was novel enough to be enjoyable while dealing with a few somewhat mundane actions. The characters were average people instead of the usual rich, handsome/beautiful, super spy type individuals one generally encounters in novels these days.
I think that I will be looking out for the book two of the series to see how it continues.
Story line was intriguing but narrative got bogged down in irrelevant miniscule details. Dialog tended to be stinted without an easy flow of conversation between characters.
So boring!
I went back and reread the entire series as I hadn’t read the last two. Series is entertaining and engrossing. I read all the books over a 4 day period because I wanted to know what’s next. Looking forward to more
This was a very enjoyable read. I quite liked the way the author did his research on Nikola Tesla and how that work played into the discovery of a spacedrive that relies on electricity to produce a repulsive magnetic field. This story is mostly set on Earth, in Texas and New Mexico, and the author got all the local details just right. The main characters of Morty, Chuck, Lina and Frenchy were well drawn, and I liked the ex-Marine vet background of Chuck. It was convincing. The plot revolves around the lead folks doing a "build a spaceship in an empty factory" with decent attention paid to the long hours of test, test and retest that go into any experimental craft. Readers who like their socket wrenches properly used will love this novel. The only negatives I found were two there are a dozen or so typos that did not detract from the read, and the Point Of View is what is called omniscient, which means you, the reader, can be put into the 'mind' of multiple characters in the same scene. It is a valid writing style, just one I am not used to. This was an enjoyable read and I look forward to reading Book 2, which I just bought.
Very believable story line, interesting and complete characters, the action is what one might experience in real life cut throat business, government and military situations, and the technology well within believability, given what is known of the habits of Nikola Tesla.
Not a lot of emotion. Very matter of fact.
Some of the dialogue could get hard to follow as it might go for pages between names being used. Characters also tended to be a bit more pedantic than I feel is generally necessary.
The politics gets a bit overbearing at times. Stop beating the horse, already.
