God made the mountains and the seas. He made all the animals. He made the heavens and the stars. He made the sun and the moon and He made the angels. Then God decided to make a man. He called this first man Adam. He taught him many things so that Adam had more knowledge than the angels. There was one Jinn, called Iblis, the Devil. Iblis tried to compare himself to Adam. He believed that he was more honorable than Adam. Therefore he abstained from prostrating even though God had commanded him to do so. Adam was surprised by this creature, Iblis who abhorred him without even knowing him and who imagined himself better than Adam without having proved that he was worthier. God gives His commissioned creatures’ absolute freedom even to the extent that they can refuse His commands. God grants them the freedom of denial, disobedience, and even disagreement with Him. His kingdom will not diminish if the disbelievers do not believe in Him nor will it be extended if many people believe in Him.

Stories of the Prophets Ibn Kathir Books Reviews
I really enjoy reading this book, because the prophets have been the same things we go through today even though their times were harder. They lead by example. They went through trials just as we did but they kept the faith.
very large size book about a foot height so wont fit on bookshelve forwarning but great book thank you
A perfect book if you want to learn about prophets and get inspired with the lives they lived.
Disliked that 99% of the book was only in English. How difficult would it be to include both Arabic and English? From what I have seen of this book, there was quite a bit of space to include Arabic.
This book is best suited for those who adore Biblical Tradition, meaning , Jews, Christians and Muslims.
I like the vivid and candid details and comparison of alternative aspects of some of the stories.
The stories reveal that the three religion comes form the same root.
The book provides a great deal of insights into the common grounds of the three religions.
Very nice and brief review that gives a nice highlight for each prophet and their timelines. Not for people who are looking in depth information. But just the right book if you want a quick summary and family tree and connections between prophets. VERY helpful.
Its a book good for young people who are ready to acquire information that are more advanced that the ones that they are used to reading. the information are interesting, making the food for thoughts for these young learners. I gave the book as a present to my daughter who is currently seeking to know more about Islam in greater depths.
Love this book. Gives you the important details of the lives of our prophets. Recommend to everyone.
